If you are a non-profit or someone with a philanthropic cause close to your heart, you know the giving season is upon us and most likely, you are already working on your end of year fundraising plans.
Tea fundraisers are most popular by charities in the UK. In the United States they are well established events in parts of New England and the South. Yet, tea events are thought of delightful and fun events by everyone. Almost everywhere, people are enchanted by the opportunity to sip tea, schmooze and support a good cause; hence tea fundraisers work so well!
Tea party fundraisers are also very flexible. You can schedule them as a traditional afternoon tea or later in the day as high-tea. You can also plan them as breakfast or brunch, and host them indoors or at a garden with designated seating or standing.
In addition to this, you can work a theme around them very easily or simply decorate with flowers with your non-profit colors. Pretty hats are optional!

5 Steps to Plan a Tea Fundraiser
1. Decide wether you want a small event with potential high-level donors or a tea event suitable for a larger group.
2. Resolve selling tickets and/or asking for donations at the event, then craft and send your invitations with time so that you can move onto planning your menu.
3. Reserve a tea party package for your event size. It will include all the crockery and cutlery you need. If your guest list is above 30 people, we can prepare a custom quote for you. You can also solicit My English Tea Party's all-inclusive tea service, which includes catering, service and decoration besides full crockery and cutlery.
4. Once your RSVPs come in, adjust your order if needed.
5. We deliver to your office or venue (or choose to pick up in San Francisco). Keep the rental for 3 days, and to make life easier, we'll even do the washing up after the event.
